Suddenly just after arriving in Tokyo on the way to Shinagawa,
the left tire lost all air. Fortunately the Shinagawa Station Koban
(Koban = little police stations all around the city)
knew where a close bicycle-repair shop is.
The tube was fixed and filled with air.
As we realised later on with too much air!
In a coffee shop nearby the repaired tube suddenly grew and blew up
with a very loud BANG! Everybody was shocked in the coffee shop.
(except Nara).
Finally the guy at the bicycle shop replaced it with a complete new tube (from a kids bike 12″ tube size).
ja ja das kenne ich auch. nie zuviel luft in einen bugaboo reifen pumpen – uns hat es alle beide verjagt 🙂
